Internet, this is what happens when I have time on my hands and am left to my own devices.
First, take one Carmella Bruce. (That’s my camera’s name.)
Then add one photogenic little dog, who loves rolling around in snow:
And then watch as I follow her around:
Or rather, as she pulls me around:
Sady likes to track deer.
She takes it ever so seriously, as clearly demonstrated by her expression here:
I should mention that there really are deer around here. In particular, yesterday there were tracks when we got back to the yard. They went around a tree, and Sady followed:
Later on, I spotted them in the act of loitering next door. There are deer in here:
It’s kind of like Where’s Waldo? – you’ve got to squint and stare to find it. But then you do find it and you’re all, aha! Victory! Which is why I posted the photograph. Because that’s fun, and I want you to have fun, Internet.
So I got to the point yesterday where everything suddenly seemed photogenic.
An annoyed cat:
Crazy Lady: “HEY OREO LOOK AT ME!”
Cool Cat: “Like I don’t know that trick…”
A glass of delicious orange juice:
Err… the same glass of orange juice:
(I did drink it, just so you know. Gulp, gulp, gulp. It was refreshing and wonderful and probably makes you want a drink, right? It makes me want one. In fact, I do believe I shall get one glorious glass of orange juice just as soon as this post is published. Mmm.)
A string of berries:
And let’s not even get me started on many pictures of trees I took. You saw a few in yesterday’s post, but I took more.
I think it’s a sickness.
I just find trees to be so beautiful.
Life giving and all that. Even though most of them are sleeping right now. (Here, anyway. Maybe not where you are, but here they do that.)
I mean, the air we breathe is filtered by these plants. Maybe it’s the fact that they’re all sparkly in winter and the light makes them shine.
I can admit it. I take pictures of trees at the slightest provocation. Even when there isn’t one. Because let’s face it, how can a tree provoke you? It can’t. It is peaceful and devoid of emotions.
Actually, it might be safer to just say that I take pictures in general at the slightest provocation.
Meanwhile, back inside the house, Oreo the cat is beginning to wonder if I have some sort of ulterior motive for capturing his glorious likeness. Not that he can really stop me:
All he can do is glare and look awfully suspicious.
Even the dog appears to have grown tired of my picture taking mania this morning. (I got a fever!)
I suppose I can’t really blame her.
