So I’m chillin’ at my parents’ house, hanging out with the dog.
Dog:
Me:

I am winking by accident. That wink is actually a squint at the snow falling into my eyeballs. I’m trying to smile for the camera, but you try smiling when it starts snowing in your face. Go on, I’d like to see it.
She’s so cute, that dog, when you take her out for a walk. She loses her mind, sniffs every sniff there is to sniff, and takes it very personally when deer tracks appear in her backyard. She then insists that it is her duty to follow those tracks, and frighten deer that are twenty times her size.
Funny thing: she does frighten them. They gallop in fear at the might of the little dog.
The cat, Oreo, is MIA, possibly because I went outside with Sady the dog, and the cat remained indoors. He can be quite jealous, you know.
Being home is always slightly different, slightly the same, and extremely relaxing, despite the frozen state of things. And by things, of course I mean my fingers and toes, and this tree:
Also, this bush:
And this vine:
Not to mention this laundry line (except I just did mention it):
This evening, a dear friend is planning on coming by for dinner and conversation. My sister is coming here tomorrow, and we’ll be having a lovely dinner out at an Indian restaurant with my parents. Then, on Saturday night, I have a date.
Ahh, mini-vacations. They are so lovely.
___________
Note: Forgive me if the pictures look grayish. In real life, they are significantly more vibrant. This grayness will be fixed once I get home to my house and am able to colour correct the photographs, and I shall repost the fixed versions of the photos. These, alas, are the limitations of having to use the straight out of the camera shots. I cannot alter size, nor can I alter colour to reflect reality. For the moment.
Update, 9 Jan 2009: I found a program and I fixed them. And I even added another coupla pictures, just because I can. Yay me!

I don’t blame you. She’s a truly lovable little thing, and as wonderful as she seems.

A truly wonderful thing about her is that not only will she answer to her name, Sady (or, Sady Dawn Marie Anne Miller [my last name] Maggoo) she’ll answer to any repetition of a syllable. For instance:
Boo Boo
See See
Kiki
Soo Soo
Noonoo
And my personal favourite: Buhbee. Which sounds like boobie, which in and of itself is awesome.
I call her all of these things.

I love the caption of the picture of you. About the snow in your eye. Not that I find pleasure in other people’s misery… but it IS damned funny.
Beautiful pictures, Rezzie! Seriously. You have a great “eye” for beauty!

Colsy – She is, she was in the paper and everything.
Twinkie – Thanks. Snow in the eye is always entertaining to everyone else, that is why I shared it. ;)
That was an unintentional wink.
(And thanks for the compliment on the photographs, it makes me smile.)
