Glasses

I’ve been told before that I should get contact lenses. It doesn’t happen so much these days, but for a while in university, it seemed that it was all anyone could say when they saw me coming.

I’ll admit that for a while, I made excuses. “Oh, I’m too lazy.” “Don’t like poking my eyes.” “Don’t have the $$ right now.”

Those, although all valid reasons, were not the real reason I wanted glasses over contacts.

Thing is, glasses have personality. They change your entire look. You can hide behind glasses, a lot of the time. People will make assumptions. Usually, that I’m smart. I’ll admit that I like that.

Still, it’s all about what you’re comfortable and used to. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 15 years old. That’s a 12 year relationship, and I’m comfortable with the idea.

Just rambling, really. No point to this post other than the posting of pictures with me in my new glasses.

Sorry I haven’t been blogging all that much, guys, but the thing is; I’ve been writing. I’m on Chapter Seven now, and that’s exciting. Takes a lot of the writing-energy.
